Oh, man. It seems like forever since we put up a post for the Intercontinental Ballistic Reading Group. Things got crazy!
Our friends at SMS Guys Read posted their video for “A Fistful of Feathers,” by David Yoo, a couple of weeks ago. It was pretty fun. Now it’s our turn.
If you need a reminder, we read “My Parents Give My Bedroom to a Biker,” by Paul Feig. Both of these stories are from Jon Scieszka’s short story collection, Guys Read: Funny Business. There are lots of other good stories in there!
The story involves a poor kids whose parents throw him out of the house so that a biker can have his room. So that’s kind of…odd. In fact, all the adults in town seem to be acting odd. Then there’s some stuff about aliens. And broccoli. So yeah, pretty funny.
We started our project with some art. Alien art. We each drew an alien. Why? So that we could attack them with broccoli, of course.
Here are some photos from the alien drawing:
Then, today, we got a little crazy. I don’t know. Just watch the video.
I didn’t quite get the green splatter action I was looking for, but it was still pretty fun. Actually, it was a ton of fun.
We’re rounding out the IBRG year with some doodling and fun from Tom Angleberger’s Art2-D2. Tom is a great friend of the club, and I can’t wait to make a real killer podracing course!
