IBRG #1 – I will introduce you, TMC

Well, this has been a long time coming. Our friends across the continent have made a couple of videos for our grand adventure, the Intercontinental Ballistic Reading Group. Last week, we were finally able to return the favor.

We’ve been enjoying “I Will Destroy You, Derek Jeter,” Chris Rylander‘s short story from Guys Read: Sports Pages.  We’re cooking up some Rube Goldberg-style chain reactions inspired by the ridiculous scene that broke Dustin Pedroia’s leg, wrecked Nate’s arm, and ruined Wes’s chances of anything with anyone. A few videos got our creative juices flowing:

OK Go’s crazy music video was an early inspiration.

This kid is seven years old and awesome.

This one’s not really Rube Goldberg-y, since it doesn’t perform a task or really have a chain reaction, but it is awesome anyway.  I read that it took 600 hours to make.
