February Book Post – Danny the Champion of the World

Cover © Puffin

Hey guys. We’re going back to a classic this month. Danny the Champion of the World by Roald Dahl. You might know of Roald Dahl from his fantastical fantasies, such as James and the Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, or The BFG. Those are great books. This book is also great, but it’s not a fantasy. But we need to get back to reality a little bit after the crazy stories we read last month.

We’ve read Danny once before in Guys Read. I know that Abbas has read it before, too. Actually, Abbas is kind of a Roald Dahl expert, so it will be good to have him in our discussion.

Can’t wait for the end of the month!

Meeting: Thursday, February 23, 6:30-7:30 pm, at our usual spot.

Click on to see a hilarious letter Roald Dahl wrote to a young fan.

Is that crazy, or what?
