Hey hey, #IBRG fans. We’ve been reading more of Frank Einstein, and really enjoying it. I’m thinking Frank’s going to get into a bit of trouble. I’m thinking we’re going to get into a bit of trouble, too. Not big trouble! Fun trouble.
We here at TMC Guys Read have been skimming through Steve Spangler‘s science books. There are a ton of crazy experiments and things. Some of them are a little too much for a lunchtime club, but we’ve found some good ones.
Last week, we picked “Skewer a Balloon.” You’ve seen it before. Somebody puts a spike through a balloon without popping it. But have you tried it? We found out that it all has to do with the polymers that make up the rubber of the balloon. The more stretched out they are, the harder it is to skewer. So, if you try, find the spots where the balloon is the least stretched out.

We picked a new experiment for next time–less…poppy than this one. OK, your move, SMS! Can’t wait to see what you get into!
